Queering Choir
A space for discussion and resources surrounding LGBTQA issues in choral music.
In recent years, discussions of gender-sexual diversity in music education has come to the fore. As choral music is quite "gendered," is important for choral conductor-teachers and choral teacher educators to engage in this important dialogue. I am seeking contributors and resources! Please reach out if you would like to be a part of this online discussion/resource center.

Breaking down stereotypes and releasing students from their gender straightjackets is one critical way in which educators can open up space for all students who define themselves as outside of the mainstream to find support and to be valued for who they are and not for what society tells them they should be.
